Baggage Policy
Carry-on Allowance
Each Air Transat passenger is permitted to bring one bag and one personal item, such as a briefcase, handbag, or laptop bag. Outerwear and assistive technologies are not considered to be “personal things” .
Your carry-on must be able to be lifted into the overhead compartment by yourself. All carry-on luggage must follow the following rules:
- Maximum Carry-on Luggage Dimensions: 23 cm x 40 cm x 51 cm
- Maximum Carry-on Baggage Weight: 10 kg for Economy Class and 15 kg for Club Class
Checked Baggage Allowance
Each Air Transat passenger is permitted to check one bag free of charge.
Following guidelines must be followed by each bag:
- Dimensions at their largest: 158 cm
- Maximum Weight: 25 kg (for Club Class), or 23 kg.
The cost of the second checked bag ranges from $40 if purchased in advance to $50 if paid within 24 hours of departure.
Exceed Baggage
Each piece of checked luggage that weighs more than the permitted maximum will incur a $75 fine.
